Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Maintenance Officer to provide preventative and reactive maintenance to our residential aged care sites. You will take pride in upholding the high standards of Anglicare SA, ensuring the site is both beautiful to look at, and both safe and functional to live in. You will be responsible for completing the essential repairs and maintenance on a day-to-day basis as well as directing contractors and trades. You will take pride in your work, ensuring our resident’s needs are at the centre of everything you do.

This role is ideal if you are committed to providing excellent customer service and can work autonomously in a professional manner.
What do you need to bring?
- Qualifications in horticultural or technical/trades relevant to the role (desirable)
- Ability to work within timeframes and juggle multiple demands
- Knowledge and experience in the provision of garden maintenance and safe use of gardening tools and machinery
- A wide array of handyman skills and the ability to work independently
- Experience in the Aged Care Sector
What can you expect to be doing?
- Providing mobile maintenance services to all Anglicare SA facilities across the Adelaide metro area
- Liaising with site leaders and other appropriate staff to determine maintenance needs and respond effectively as required
- Carrying out timely and proficient maintenance and repairs of equipment and assisting with the production of equipment to cater for the special needs of clients
- Ensuring all equipment is operated and serviced in accordance with site procedures/manufacturer's instructions
